I started this Substack on January 1, 2026. Same day the podcast launched.

Since then, hundreds of you have written to me. DMs on LinkedIn. Replies to the Substack. Notes after talks. A few that came handwritten — which I want to say something about, because handwritten letters from Black women you have never met carry a weight I have not yet found language for.

I read every one. I do not always reply quickly. I always read.

Five months in, three things keep coming up. I want to share them — not as quotes from any specific person, because the letters are private, but as patterns. If you have written to me, you may recognize yourself in one of these. If you have not written yet, I want you to know what the conversation is.

One — ‘I thought it was just me.’

This is the most common opening line. Some version of it appears in maybe half the letters I receive.

The specifics vary. The pattern is identical. A Black woman in leadership has been navigating something for years that she thought was personal. The exhaustion. The double-bind around visibility. The unspoken pressure to perform competence and humility simultaneously. The discovery, in a single Substack post or podcast episode, that the thing she thought was uniquely hers is structural. Documented. Studied. Named.

The relief is real. But the relief is not the work. The work is what comes after — the slow recognition that if the pattern is structural, the strategy has to be structural too.

You cannot personal-development your way out of a system that was never built for you. You have to build differently.

That recognition is what Revolutionary Leadership is for.

Two — ‘I need to do this differently and I do not know how.’

The second pattern. Black women leaders who have been carrying the weight of being the only one, the first one, the trusted one for years — and who are now exhausted enough to admit they cannot sustain it the way they have been doing it.

The letters land somewhere between confession and request. The confession is that the model they have been operating inside is no longer working. The request is for an alternative.

This is the work the book does. Not by handing you a different model. By naming what the research shows about how Black women have actually been leading — across hundreds of women, two longitudinal studies, fifteen years — and giving you frameworks built from that, not from the dominant career-advice literature that does not describe your life.

The frameworks are the alternative. The book is the architecture.

Three — ‘I want to be part of this.’

The third pattern is the one I did not expect.

Black women who have not just resonated with the work. They want to be in it. To be part of the building. To carry it forward.

To be in the room when the research gets translated into something usable. To know they are not the only person who has read the post and recognized themselves.

This is why the Blueprint Circle exists. Not as a paid subscription tier in the marketing sense. As a community for the people who want to be inside the work, not just adjacent to it.

The Blueprint Circle exists for the people who want to be part of the building, not just adjacent to it. Three ways in: $8 monthly, $80 annual, or $120 once for lifetime founding membership (capped at 100). Most people start at monthly. All three doors lead to the same room.

What I am hearing under all three

These three patterns are not separate. They sequence.

First, the recognition that the pattern is structural, not personal. Then, the recognition that the strategy has to change. Then the decision was made to do that work inside the community rather than alone.

That sequence is what the research has been documenting for fifteen years. It is what the book gives language to. And it is what the Blueprint Circle is built to support.

If you have been reading this newsletter, you are already part of the work. The next steps — pre-ordering the book, joining the Blueprint Circle, writing back to me when something lands — those are the architecture of what comes next.

If you have already written to me, thank you. If you have not yet, the inbox is open. DrKerry@RevolutionaryLead.com. Or reply to this post. I read every one.
